This page outlines the terms of use that are upheld by the Research Governance Service (“RGS”) application (“Application”). You must agree to all terms of use in order to access and use the Application to its full extent.

1. Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the RGS located at http://rgs.health.wa.gov.au that is operated by WA Health.

Your access to and use of the Application is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Application. By accessing or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms then you may not access the Application.

All users are expected to use the computer resources such as RGS in accordance with the requirements of the WA Health Acceptable Use Policy.

Passwords shall not be transferred or shared with others including RGS Support or RGS Administrators, unless the user obtains appropriate authorisation to do so.

If a password is suspected to have been compromised, it should be changed immediately and the incident reported to the RGS Administrators​​.

2.  Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Application after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. 

3.  Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to our Application immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.​

4.  Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permissible by law, the State of Western Australia and its officers, employees, agents, agencies, instrumentalities, contractors, successors, assigns and others acting under its control are irrevocably and unconditionally released from any and all liability to each person or organisation using this Application as a result of any information being incorrect.

5.  Information and Content

The information provided is correct to the best of our knowledge, but no warranty as to accuracy is given and each person or organisation should not act on the basis of its contents without taking appropriate independent advice.

The information and materials on this Application are made available on the understanding that they do not constitute professional or expert advice.
